Kid's Gardening Programs

February-May 2012

Want to get your family growing their own fruits and veggies?  Have your kids involved in healthy activities where they learn to appreciate nature?  Then check out our Future Gardener’s Programs!   Most of our programs are intended for children ages 5-12 years.  Most programs require minimal fees to cover materials and require advance registration – however, we also offer other special events and programs for free.

Munch & Crunch Containers!

Kids will be introduced to popular vegetable plants and how to grow them from the seed stage and then how to transfer their plantings into the ground when the time is right.  We will also go over the growth cycle of a plant in a fun and informative way.   Kids will receive their very own plant kit (either a Pizza, Salad or Taco Kit) that also has an educational internet based program that they can use at home as thier plant grows!

Fairy Garden Party!

Too cute for words!  Calling all little fairies to join us in our Garden Center for fairy food, crafts and games!   Participants are encouraged to wear their best fairy dress attire (and of course wings)!

Easter Bunny's Egg Hunt!

Meet and dine with the one and only the…EASTER BUNNY!  But first, participants will par-take in a fun Scavenger Easter Egg Hunt throughout our property.     After the “Hunt” join the Easter Bunny for a fun Pizza lunch, crafts and games.

Earth Day Celebration

Party time!  Join in the fun as we celebrate our Earth through tons of fun activities including Earth Day games and crafts!  We will also be covering great topics such as sustainable living, recycling programs and how we can keep our earth happy and healthy!

Nature Scavenger Hunt

Did you know there are a ton of really cool things to find in our forested area during the early Spring?  Participants will search for unique items and then create a really cool nature art collage to take home.   We will also be covering recycling and appreciation of our natural environment.  Snack will be served.

Make A Gift For Mom

We will be bringing out fun flower containers for children to fill and decorate with all kinds a neat stuff!  Once decroated, kids will then arrange their own flowers just for Mom!  Kids can drop-in anytime between 2:00-4:00 PM to create their masterpieces!  Love ya Mom!

Look At My Seeds Grow!

Families will learn the basics of how to start seeds, care for them, and when to transplant them to have a season full of fresh vegetables!
