Spring Lecture Series

Welcome to Kinsch's Spring Lecture Series!  These programs were created to keep you, our valued customer, up-to-date on the latest gardening trends and techniques.  We strongly feel that education is key to successful gardening!  Also, for those that attend our workshops will also receive additional savings on any products that are presented at the time of the workshop!

Growing The Organic Way

We will introduce how to implement simple organic growing practices, products and tools to help you in your efforts of “growing green!”  Also, we will cover basic composting and some of the latest organic myths.

Starting From Seed

What an awesome accomplishment to be able to grow a full bloomer plant from the seed stage!  We will give a step-by-step seed prep and growing process that you can take home and start with right away!

Soil Amendments – Be a Super Grower!

Gardening is not as simple as just putting a plant in the ground and watching it grow – it takes some investigative and preparation work.  We will be covering how to test and amend soils to grow the heartiest plants and flowers.  Leslie from Back to Nature will be on hand to cover amendments from A to Z.

Gardening 101

Are you new to the gardening world?  Do you think gardening is too complicated and is intimidating?  Convinced yourself that you DO NOT have a green thumb?  Than this program is right for you!    We will cover all the basics from soil prep to plant selection and maintenance.

Spring Garden Clean-up & Pruning

There is a bit that goes into getting your gardening area, containers and beds ready for Spring time planting.  We will be talking about the essentials such as:  soil testing & amendments, pruning, cleaning, and space planning for both shrubs and plants.

Decorating Your Garden - DIY

Learn how to decorate your garden for an extra-extraordinary visual and soulful experience!  We will show you how to creatively use everyday things and other garden decorating items to put your personality on your growing space.

Working With Pesticides

Want to learn how to get rid of those pesky garden critters?    Learn how to properly identify invaders and how to safely rid them from doing damage to your plants or shrubs.  Also, learn what products will work best – should you use organic or more traditional approaches – and what the effects are to plants and human consumption.

How To Plan A “Fresh Cut Flowers” Garden
